What you’ll do in this role
Working in a Day Program involves leading and supporting group activities that encourage participation, learning, and social connection. Staff create a positive, engaging environment while helping individuals develop practical skills and enjoy meaningful experiences throughout the day.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate group activities focused on skill-building, recreation, and social engagement
- Support participants in following daily schedules and structured routines
- Encourage participation, communication, and peer interaction
- Assist with personal care needs when required
- Help coordinate and supervise community outings and activities
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive group environment
- Document participation and communicate with the support team as needed

- Leading or assisting with group activities throughout the day
- Supporting participants during transitions between activities
- Encouraging social interaction and teamwork
- Supervising outings in the community
- Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for all participants
